My Timeline
An Explanation of My Journey Through the World of Creatives.
Baby Steps
Steven first developed his love for photography/filmmaking in elementary school. Assigned a project involving video content, a young Steven eagerly filmed his first YouTube video on a camcorder bought off Amazon. After thoroughly enjoying the editing process, he began to explore in his free time. Creating edits on popular videos games like Minecraft and Brawl Stars, Steven would quickly discover that he was extremely passionate about video editing. Then, two years later, Steven would receive his first camera.
A Growing Passion
After getting his grubby little hands on a camera for the first time, Steven would never let go. Whether it was his portable camera (his phone) or it's larger counterpart (a basic DSLR), Steven would bring his photography prowess to every single exciting thing he experienced in his life. To this day, he holds tens of thousands of photos from his time in elementary school. As he progressed into his teenage years, Steven would continue to create dozens of videos for his many YouTube channels and take photos wherever he went. Slowly, but surely, Steven would build his foundational creative skills.
In high school, Steven would continue his love for filmmaking and photography. A part of his school's newspaper, he would take hundreds of photos at school events, as well as create various promotional videos for the clubs/sports teams that he was a part of. Throughout this time, Steven would continue to pursue his own personal goals, creating YouTube videos, and posting on an emerging platform - TikTok. He would maintain his studies, yet still find a way to incorporate photography/filmmaking into his life. Steven would work with international organizations like DECA Inc. and Canada Model United Nations, creating social media content. As years flew by, and Steven's hunger for the creative profession grew, he would wonder - could he do this for a living?
Wondrous Next Steps
You've read my story - now you know where I am. Though I don't have the best gear (Nikon D3500), nor the most experience in the world (I'm not very old), I am extremely passionate about the world of media. I'm trying to jumpstart my professional photography/filmmaking, and I would really appreciate if you could take a flier on me.
